We reserve the right to send any cadet home at the parent's expense who arrives for training and
does not meet the level of maturity and qualifications as specified on the our application form.
APPLICATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.  NO LATE ARRIVALS OR EARLY DEPARTURES!
You must make the dates of the training.  No late arrivals or early departures!
July 3 - July 12, 2009    FIRST 10 DAY SCUBA TRAINING SESSION
Open to 16 qualified male cadets; 4 Female cadets (female cadets overnight ashore with escort)
Shipboard experience in Lake Huron, Training in Man Overboard, Damage Control,
Fire Fighting, Ship Handling, Navigation, Underwater Communication Equipment.
Cadet must be a certified diver.
E-2, 14 years of age, excellent physical condition, mature.

Certification the following:  All Divers will receive a 3 day course in:
NAS (Nautical Archaeological Society) Underwater Archaeology

Additional PADI SCUBA Certification in:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver  (if cadet diver level is Open Water Diver)
Great Lakes Research Diver or other Specialty (if diver level is above Open Water Diver)

NOAA Officer, Diver, Archaeologist participation.  Port of Call: Alpena, Michigan
July 31- August 9, 2009   SECOND 10 DAY SCUBA TRAINING SESSION
Open to 16 qualified male cadets; 4 Female cadets (female cadets overnight ashore with escort)
Shipboard experience in Upper Lake Huron,  Straits of Mackinac and Upper Lake Michigan. Training in Man Overboard, Damage Control,Fire Fighting, Ship Handling, Navigation, Underwater Communication Equipment.
Cadet must be a certified diver.
E-2, 14 years of age, excellent physical condition, mature  

Certification in ONE (1) of the following:
This training will build on the skills aquired in the NAS training course offered in July .
For those who did not take the July training the following will be offered:
SCUBA Certification in PADI Advanced Open Water or other PADI Specialty.

Open to 16 male cadets; 4 Female cadets (female cadets overnight ashore with qualified escort)

Certification in ONE of the following DAN (Divers Alert Network) Courses
Oxygen First Aid for SCUBA Diver InjuriesAdvanced Oxygen Administration
Emergency First Response Certification with CPR and AED
WE MUST HAVE MEASUREMENTS TO FIT CADETS WTH PROPER EQUIPMENT.
Each Cadet applicant must send the following measurements:
Weight, Height, Chest, Waist, Hip and Inseam.  (SEE OUR APPLICATION FORM)
